The mission of the Data Analysts is to assist Instrument Scientists
and HST General Observers in the processing and analysis of
scientific, calibration and engineering data. That support involves
past, present and future HST instruments and development of the
James Webb Space Telescope as well as hardware testing at
STScI's Independent Detector Testing Lab. In addition, the Data
Analysts provide data processing and scientific analysis for the
scientific programs of STScI staff scientists.

| What this Website is about: |
 |
 |

These web pages were created (and are periodically
updated) by the Data Analysts at the Space Telescope Science
Institute to provide information about
their professional expertise, interests and
education.
They are directed to a wide audience.
On the one hand they provide
a variety of resources to all Data Analysts: from
web useful links to a list of Data Analysts who
volunteer to share their knowledge on specific
tools and astronomical data reduction,
analysis and techniques. On the other, they
provide individual profiles that can be
of use when instrument scientists or
instrument groups need to hire a Data Analyst.
Our most general goal is to guarantee
rotation in the hiring of individuals and
maximum exposure to different assignments
for all in the Branch. |
